These drawings were created through a process of chance and control: I began by splashing clear droplets of water onto the surface of each page, then used a large wet brush to carve out architectural forms. Carefully placed ink was introduced into select areas, allowing it to flow freely and reveal the structures within. This intuitive technique produced expressive marks and tonal variations, giving the drawings an almost abstract quality. The resulting images evoke a sense of ambiguity—structures that appear to be simultaneously under construction and in a state of decay. It becomes unclear whether the viewer is looking into a building or out of it.
Through this body of work, I explore the liminal emotions I experience in relation to my practice and the uncertainty surrounding my future. These architectural forms serve as metaphors for a shifting internal landscape: the past feels hazy and fragmented, while the present is vivid yet difficult to grasp. The future remains undefined—a terrain shaped by the decisions made in the now. This process feels akin to navigating through fog, with only fleeting glimpses of clarity. Despite these challenges, I aim to steer my path toward a hopeful, visionary future.
